A unique boot by Viennese maker Ludwig Reiter produced exclusively for RIER.
Austrian shoemaker Ludwig Reiter has been manufacturing footwear since 1885, in that time becoming well-known for their high quality country footwear. The Field Boot is an adaptation of the Arlberger Boot, which is constructed from sturdy 'Russian Leather' with a shearling lining.
RIER modifies this style, having the boot produced for the first time ever with a calfskin leather lining in-place of shearling. The boot's construction retains the robust bovine hides which are water-repellant—achieved through a tanning process using bark, oils and waxes.
A full-length zipper at the medial ankle helps to improve practicality whilst making for more comfortable wear. The Goodyear-welted sole is finished with a lightweight rubber outsole with a slim profile, allowing the Field Boot to retain a chic silhouette.
